Many of us have had the privilege to follow in the footsteps of a great hunter and fisherman in our life, but I have been lucky to know that the greatest outdoorsman I've ever known was my own dad.  He taught me to be patient, by waiting for that clean shot.  He taught me to be courteous and always allow others the benefit of the doubt.  He taught me to use my head not my feet and think things through before I acted on impulse.   He showed me how to be humble during my great days and  how to keep my head up when things didn't work as planned.  He taught me that  being first was only good at the end of the tournament.  He saw that slowing down allowed you to gain knowledge and understand of nature better than hurrying past it. He might have taught me a lot in the outdoor world which lead me to be the outdoorsman I am , but he showed me love and how to be the best dad and husband, brother and son I could ever be. Thanks Dad for making me ...........Me.
